Dems Decided Not to Tax Their Rich Wall Street Friends. But, Now Dems Want Avg Joe to Pay Sales Taxes on?

Duminos asked:

… internet transactions.

Does the following sum up the Dems?
1. Promise that rich people will pay for AMT tax relief.
2. Decided NOT to make their rich friends pay higher taxes to fund AMT tax relief.
3. Gave AMT tax relief to average Joe and Jane.
4. Make average Joe and Jane pay sales taxes on internet purchases.

5. Continue to protect Rich Friends and Donors.

Is anyone surprised that the Dems are taking care of the rich at the expense of working Americans?

No surprise there, democrats are for the working man (they say) and then they have ambulance chasing liberals like John Edwards who bankrupts companies on flimsy evidence who have to lay off their workers.

    Sad, demented liberals.

Thank goodness the Republicans are looking out for the poor and underprivileged. That AMT would have made you cons look really bad.

Let me give you an example of republicans and taxes. they whine about a measly $5 a week in income tax until the reduction passes then end up paying an additional $10 a week in property tax’s to make up for the tax break. Another thing if the tax breaks for the rich that bush imposed was supposed to create jobs and stimulate the economy when is that going to kick in?? So far7 years later job loss is greater than job creation and if you compare the wages to inflation over the last 30 years the republican plan has failed us big time.

The AMT plan originally concocted by dems years ago has since swallowed more and more of the upper middle class income earners (originally not intended to be taxed) since it was never indexed for inflation, as naturally goods and services and thus wages increased commensurately. I dont know if this was by design or done on accident. Higher taxation for the rich hurts the economy, it deterred investments and the ability to higher more workers, Everyone gets hurt by this systematic process. Now the democrats are hailed as heroes for correcting a mistake they created from their own negligence.

Remember, Bush slashed taxes across the board (cap gains and dividend gains, etc.), expect these to be expired/repealed by ‘09 (guaranteed if a dem wins the presidency).
