Do I need a small Biz License for an internet store?

Jode88 asked:

I find all these legal pages so confusing. Does anyone know if i need a small biz license if I only sell online and don’t have a physical store? I know TX requires a sales and use tax permit requiring me to charge taxes on purchases shipped to TX address. Is that all I need you think?

Better check with your local SBDC (small biz dev center).

im buying wholesale and reselling items on ebay all i have is doing business as, federal tax id, and state tax id, and i havent gotten in trouble(yet). usually a business license is to make sure you are in the right zone to do business and usually applies to physical stores but you might want to contact the local county clerk to make sure

    good luck
